Never did any of us think that two numbers would represent such a monumental moment in time as an American.
Here's what I would suggest for today if possible. Take a moment today and as an American put all your political beliefs and thoughts on war aside to just be an American and pay tribute to all those that have sacrificed their families, home life, and the many who have paid the ultimate price.
My guess is that most of can remember the exact place we were when we heard about the towers falling. That will forever be etched in my mind's eye. I also remember the feelings of helplessness and the quiet skies.
We do live in a great country. Often times it is easy to forget that. You don't see Americans trying to get out of America, but you do see people risking their lives to come here in the hope of fulfilling their dreams.
Hope is the ingredient to fuel dreams into reality. Hope is what keeps us going in times of adversity.
It is my hope and prayer today that you take a moment and remember. Be thankful. Be hopeful. And then go make a small positive difference in somebody's day...today.
